“No act of terror or hate will change who we are,” Obama said in a televised address Sunday at the White House. President Obama said the FBI is taking the lead on investigating the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 2001, calling the slaughter in Orlando, Fla., on Sunday an act of hate. Obama was briefed on the attack, the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history, early Sunday morning at the White House. Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, blamed "radical Islamic terrorism” in a tweet and asked, “When will we get tough, smart and vigilant?”Hillary Clinton, the presumptive Democratic nominee, was more circumspect. “As we wait for more information, my thoughts are with those affected by this horrific act," she tweeted.
