A total of 274 election-related violent incidents have been reported across the country over the past 53 days, according to the Press Wing of the Chief Adviser. The incidents occurred between December 12 and 9pm on February 1. Comparative figures from previous national elections show a fluctuating trend of violence: during the 10th parliamentary election, from December 22, 2013, to January 4, 2014, 530 incidents were recorded, leaving 115 people dead and 315 injured. The 11th parliamentary election, held from December 10, 2018, to January 2, 2019, saw 414 incidents, resulting in 22 deaths and 780 injuries. During the 12th parliamentary election, from December 21, 2023, to January 10, 2024, 534 incidents occurred, causing 6 deaths and 460 injuries.
