(ANSA) – ROME, Nov. 8 – Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is scheduled to meet with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at the prime minister’s office in Rome’s Palazzo Chigi on Thursday morning, government sources said on Tuesday. Meloni has repeatedly emphasized her new government’s unconditional support for NATO and Western sanctions against Russia and military aid to Ukraine in the war against Moscow. Rome will approve Kyiv’s sixth aid package, which includes a missile defense system. Before and after winning the September 25 general elections, the leaders of the Italian Brotherhood (FdI) consistently emphasized the FdI’s pro-NATO and pro-EU stance toward Ukraine.
