The Egyptian cabinet today approved the proposed amendments submitted by the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) related to the chairmanship tenure of the EGX to become four years and may not be renewed more than once. Mohamed Omran, chairperson of the EGX, said that the cabinet approved the amendments, which will be submitted to the president for final approval. There are also five elected candidates: three representatives of securities companies, one of listed companies, and one from the NileX. Ehab Saeed, the managing director of Osool Securities, said that he intends to run for the brokerage seat. Mansour El Barbary, chairperson, CEO, and managing director of BIG, said he intends to run for the NileX seat.
