Jewell was sentenced by Sanilac County Circuit Court Judge Timothy C. Wrathell on June 12 for the charge of kidnapping- child enticement. In Jewell’s case, the sentencing agreement included a minimum of 42 to 70 months to a maximum of 15 years in prison. In addition to prison time, Wrathell also required that Jewell be placed on the Michigan Sex Offender Registry. Prior to sentencing, Wrathell heard a victim impact statement from the victim’s mother. “I don’t have the authority to tell you that you can never come back to Sanilac County,” Wrathell said in his final statement to Jewell.
