According to Lopez, the Emergency Response Team of the New NAIA Infrastructure Corp. (NNIC) quickly responded to the incident. NNIC is working closely with the relevant authorities and will take the necessary action based on the findings,” it said. While NAIA Terminal 1 has resumed normal operations, Tulfo urged the DOTr and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) to remain proactive and ensure that airport facilities comply with safety standards.
