Vijayan, Gynaecology Department head, Government Medical College, Kottayam, has launched a probe into the post-delivery death of a 36-year-old woman at Alappuzha Medical College. She was undergoing treatment in the hospital for post-delivery complications and the relatives of the woman alleged medical negligence leading to her death. Following the death, the relatives created a ruckus in the hospital. “We will take further action based on the medical report in the case,” Mr. Nair said.
