NewsA protest is currently taking place in front of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) where former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa arrived to give a statement. A large crowd, which includes MPs representing the Joint Opposition in Parliament are present at the location. Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa too arrived at the location a short while ago. Police have positioned water cannon and riot squads near the area.
