Protesting Trump, Jericho shop denies entry to ‘dogs and Americans’ -

A Palestinian storeowner in Jericho hung a “dogs and Americans are not allowed to enter” sign outside his establishment in protest of US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital last week. In an interview with Channel 10, the owner of the household goods shop in the Aqbat Jaber refugee camp in the Jordan Valley railed against the US president’s decision. Al-Quds [Jerusalem] is the capital of Palestine,” he said. The store owner told Channel 10 the decision was not motivated by racist motives. Maj. Gen. Yoav Mordechai, the IDF’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, condemned the sign in an Arabic Facebook post on Thursday evening.
