The government has already warned that pubs will not be able to reopen until July at the earliest under lockdown measures. However, the British pubs' trade body has this week written to MPs calling for a provisional date. "We need to plan ahead, get staff off furlough, remove furniture, install hand-washing stations, change layouts in pubs," he said. Under measures put forward to the government, it said drinks could be capped to three per person and outdoor venues should be allowed to reopen first.
