“There is the potential that some public transport systems will not be able to continue indefinitely unless there is significant central government interventions and support. “We are running 75% currently of our public transport system. But the numbers using public transport have been hammered by the unprecedented shutdown, with little demand to travel to work. “You have got to look at how people use public transport and at what times they travel,” he said. “If you look outside of London, I am always struck by the fact that the working day is still quite traditional – it's a very nine-to-five working day.
