The Ministry of Housing and Public Works has warned against a "fraudulent" job notice and work order being circulated in its name. In a statement issued on Thursday, the ministry said the fake circular falsely claims that 161 people will be recruited under Package-13 through an outsourcing firm named Khandaker Traders. The ministry said the circular used a fabricated memo number dated Sept 7, which has “no basis” in official records. In reality, he currently holds the post of joint secretary (Planning and Development Sub-division-1), the ministry said. The ministry confirmed it has no involvement with the notice and has not issued any such appointment order.
