Boris Johnson has set out plans to reopen pubs, restaurants and other venues from July 4 after three months of lockdown have pushed many to the brink of collapse. Hospitality sector chiefs have warned that thousands of jobs have already been lost and hundreds of businesses have gone bust. There will also be changes to licensing laws to allow many more pubs, bars and restaurants sell alcohol to drink elsewhere, making social distancing easier. The Government yesterday published detailed guidance for businesses including pubs, hairdressers, hotels and indoor attractions on keeping venues safe for workers and visitors before July 4.
