ISLAMABAD: The Punjab government has been making efforts to secure the upcoming hunting expedition of dignitaries from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in southern districts of the province. The provincial cabinet’s sub-committee on law and order held on October 20 in principle approved the deployment of troops for the expedition’s protection. Well-informed sources told Pakistan Today that the provincial government has requested the federal government to ensure the availability of troops of three companies with a Wing Headquarter of the Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) during the hunting expedition of Emirati dignitaries until March 31, 2021. The hunting delegation will include UAE President and Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nehan, Dubai’s deputy ruler and Minister of Finance and Industries Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Makhtoum. The team will visit Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan for hunting.
