It’s hard to understand the enthusiasm for Kamala Harris as Joe Biden’s running mate (“The Democrats Choose Harris,” Review & Outlook, Aug. 12). Sen. Harris isn’t an unknown quantity on the national political stage. She ran in the Democratic primaries but did so poorly she dropped out before any ballots were cast. Her explanation of what would happen to private insurance under Medicare for All seemed to change on a daily basis. Given Joe Biden’s age and mental condition, voters must consider that she might have to take over...
