DHAKA, Mar 24, 2026 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has undertaken extensive and multi-layered security measures across the country to ensure a peaceful and secure observance of Genocide Day on March 25 and Independence and National Day on March 26. According to an official statement, RAB has deployed a sufficient number of personnel nationwide, including in the capital Dhaka, to prevent any untoward incidents during the two important national occasions. RAB said security has been tightened at all event sites, including parades, discussions, cultural programmes, film screenings, and fairs across metropolitan cities, divisional headquarters, and districts. The RAB Cyber Monitoring Team is also operating round the clock to curb the spread of rumours, misinformation, and provocative content on digital platforms. A central control room at RAB headquarters is overseeing and coordinating security operations nationwide, while local control rooms remain active in respective jurisdictions.
