RFK Jr. accused of antisemitic claims about COVID but insists he was misunderstood

In a brief phone interview with ABC News on Sunday, Kennedy insisted he was “appalled”. He said his comments about immunity were misunderstood, especially about how a news report implied he was talking about certain ethnicities being “forgivable”. Kennedy’s recent COVID-19 conspiracy theories were quickly criticized, including by the Anti-Defamation League, one of the leading Jewish civil rights organizations in the United States. A spokesperson for the ADL told ABC News that Kennedy may be nurturing “the anti-Semitic and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories about COVID-19 that we’ve seen develop over the past three years. Boteach added that he believes Kennedy is an ally of the Jewish people, not an anti-Semite, but he condemned Kennedy’s comments.
