To say that Nvidia has championed real-time ray tracing would be an understatement. The Green Team has invested heaps of money and resources into its development and flagship hardware -- the GeForce RTX Series graphics cards -- to enable it. Nvidia's new RTX graphics cards have special "tensor cores" dedicated to handling the extreme computational power required for real-time ray tracing, and while the results are self-evident, the accompanying price tag isn't easy to swallow. Here's to hoping that when ray tracing does become a household name, the cost to entry is low and the amount of games its featured in is prolific.
