Prof Golam Faruk CourtesyProf Faruk, a former chairperson of the Faculty of Fine Arts at RU, served as principal of Rajshahi Art College for a long timeProf Golam Faruk of Rajshahi University (RU) died on Wednesday evening while undergoing treatment at Square Hospital in Dhaka. Faruk, who was 62 at the time of his death, was a professor in the Department of Painting, Oriental Art and Printmaking at RU. Prof Faruk leaves behind his wife, two daughters, son and a number of well-wishers. The late professor’s first namaz-e-janaza was held in Mohammadpur, while the second one was held at RU central mosque. Prof Faruk, a former chairperson of the Faculty of Fine Arts at RU, served as principal of Rajshahi Art College for a long time.
