Today, as Israel marks 68 years of independence, we celebrate the story of how a tiny nation turned its adversity into its competitive advantage. Now more than ever, the world is coming to Israel for partnerships and Canada has been designated a priority nation. When California and eastern Africa recently faced severe droughts, the first place they turned to was Israel. Although much ink has been spilled on the miracle of our physical survival, the history of modern Israel is also a social and economic miracle. Israel and Canada are natural partners.
