Raila tells off Atwoli, says Azimio leaders satisfied with opposition role

Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has told off Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli after the trade unionist said he was looking for public offices for some Azimio leaders. The opposition chief further told Atwoli to champion the rights of the workers instead of being cosy with President William Ruto's administration. He said Atwoli should be the one telling workers to go on the streets and fight for their rights, not the political class. Atwoli said the opposition must accept that they lost the elections. However, Raila maintained that Azimio is the biggest coalition in the country with a large number of MPs, senators, governors and MCAs.
