Met Éireann has issued a status yellow rain warning for six counties and has warned of spot flooding in places today. Following the heavy rain on Thursday, recent dry and sunny spells will return for the weekend before conditions become "mostly unsettled" next week, according to Met Éireann. Thursday has started wet across most of the country with minimal sunny spells with a cool day in store between 3C and 8C. Met Éireann says Sunday will see a slight rise in temperatures as a mix of cloud and clear spells are forecast with 9C to 13C expected. Beyond Monday, Met Éireann predicts conditions to be "mostly unsettled with spells of rain and showers".
