IPOH: Ramadan bazaar traders are concerned that they would be ordered to close their stalls with the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in the city. On Thursday, Perak local government committee chairman Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohamed Radzi said that drastic action would be taken, including closing Ramadan bazaars, if the SOP was not adhered to. On April 12, Ipoh Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin said all 28 locations for Bazaar Ramadan in Ipoh had been fully booked with more than 1,000 licences issued by the Ipoh City Council. Mohammad Hariree Zolkarnain, 32, said the increasing number of cases within the Kinta District was worrying. He said for traders like him, he relied solely on such bazaars, and closing down should be the last option.
