FIRST minister Nicola Sturgeon has given Scottish football clubs and their fans a hint that normality could be just around the corner. A crowd in the region of 12,500 is expected along to Hampden Park tonight to roar on Scotland against Croatia. And Nicola Sturgeon said she hoped "it would be possible and proportionate to lift the major remaining legal restrictions on 9 August". That means crowds at outdoor gatherings pitched at 500, unless express permission is granted for more. "But within two weeks - by 9 August – we would expect the vast majority of over 40s to have a significant level of protection.
