Judge Fazle Khoda Md Nazir of the Sirajganj Women and Child Repression Prevention Tribunal 1 delivered the verdict on Tuesday, in presence of the convict, Lavlu Baburchi, 4. The court’s Assistant Public Prosecutor Anwar Parvez Limon said Lavlu was also fined Tk1 lakh. According to case details, on May 10 last year, Lavlu lured the sixth grader, a dsaughter of his neighbours, into his house in Raipur area under Sirajganj municipality, and raped her. The girl’s mother filed a rape case against him at Sadar police station after the child became pregnant.
