Rapper turned poet touring the countrySUPPLIED Dominic 'Tourettes' Hoey and Skyscraper StanHis debut novel may be called Iceland, but Dominic Hoey is staying closer to home for his grassroots tour of New Zealand. "I used to be a rapper and doing that I'd only ever really play the main centres or overseas, but when I started doing poetry more I found that you could go to the smaller places and see more of the country." He said his life has changed since his days as a rapper and because of that so has his approach to his art. My life's not as mad as it was, so I'm just trying to figure out how to express that creatively. Dominic 'Tourettes' Hoey and Skyscraper Stan are coming to Palmerston North's Looking Glass Lounge on November 24.
