Environment Canada has issued a weather warning for the Montreal area, predicting rapidly dropping temperatures and heavy flurries. The weather agency says snow accumulations could reach up to five centimetres, but likely not in the Montreal region. The warning is in effect for Châteauguay-La Prairie, Laval, Longueuil and Montreal. A cold front is expected to sweep across Southern and Central Quebec Thursday evening into overnight. Environment Canada spokesperson René Héroux says that while Montrealers may wake up to a "dust of snow" on the ground, it's the cold they have to worry about.
