The Rajya Sabha has decided to do away with Question Hour and Zero Hour on Wednesday to debate the on-going unrest in Kashmir. Ghulam Nabi Azad's demands received support from the Left, SP, BSP and TMC. Home Minister Rajnath Singh today made the decision and vowed to raise the issue in the Upper House after MPs protested and demanded a discussion on the violence-hit state. She was also critical of the PM choosing to speak against Dalits outside the Parliament and not on the floor of the house. BSP chief Mayawati demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's participation in the debate.
