Following a surprising second-half surge and a trip to the playoffs last year, the Red Sox entered the season with some high expectations. “But he has a .333 OPS through nine games and hasn’t drawn a walk.”Though the season is young, Story’s place in the Red Sox lineup is a significant question. But he’s previously struggled to live up to the six-year, $140 million contract he signed with the Red Sox after earning two Silver Slugger Awards in his time with the Colorado Rockies.
