Redisher Wood Local Nature Reserve, is a valley at the bottom of Holcombe Hill and is a popular place with locals as well as wildlife. Now thanks to funding the woodland has become accessible to more people - and a celebration walk will now take place led by the Bury Ramblers group. Redisher Woods received funding from Greater Manchester Ramblers, the East Lancs Long Distance Walkers Association (LDWA) and Bury Council to fix a badly eroded footpath and steps after safety fears were raised.
