Police on Thursday found the charred remains of a seven-year-old girl who had been reported as missing a few days ago. Subsequent medical examination of the girl’s body confirmed she had been raped and murdered before being set on fire. Officials said that a few days ago, Meraj had filed a missing person report for his seven-year-old daughter Laiya. Meanwhile, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Muhammad Bin Gandapur took notice of the incident and formed a high-powered investigation team under SSP investigation Nowsherwan Khan. Chief Minister Mahmood Khan also took notice of the incident and directed the police to take swift action against the culprits.
