Hundreds gathered Monday in a North Naples memorial garden to honor, remember and mourn those who died while serving in the United States military. The Collier County Veterans Council, along with the Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, put the event together. The gardens and event are all part of the late Earl Hodge's lasting legacy, she said. Memorial Day coverage:Two large tents were packed full and others, seated in lawn chairs and on picnic blankets, gathered in remembrance. Saul Wilner, a Naples resident, stood behind the tents holding a collage in honor of his parents who both served in the military.
