Va. (WFXR) — On a mission to rebuild homes in need of critical repairs across the Roanoke Valley, one group of volunteers stepped into action on Saturday. On Oct. 7, the Renovation Alliance (RA) hosted its annual “Community Renovation Day” to repair six homes for families in need for free. Approximately 100 volunteers from local churches, businesses, and members of the community gathered on Saturday morning to help rebuild safe and healthy homes. “Many homeowners across the Roanoke Valley are in desperate need of critical home repairs,” said Renovation Alliance Executive Director Kendall Cloeter. “After a 3-year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Renovation Alliance is thrilled to welcome back volunteers on home repair project sites.
