Rep. Jerry Nadler Would 'Absolutely' Go To Supreme Court For Mueller Report Release


Amid calls for the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s full report into Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. election, Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) said he is “absolutely” willing to take the matter to the Supreme Court if necessary. Appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday, the chair of the House Judiciary Committee said he would “try to negotiate and we’ll try everything else first” to get the complete report released. He warned that “if we have to, yes, we will certainly issue subpoenas to get that information.”Attorney General William Barr released a summary of the report to Congress on Sunday afternoon. Nadler is one of several lawmakers demanding that the report’s full findings be made public. “Executive privilege cannot shield evidence of wrongdoing,” Nadler contended, citing the ruling.
