The private member bill sponsored by Chairman, House Committee on Judiciary, Hon. Onofiok Luke which slated for Second Reading seeks to alter the 1999 Constitution by removing item 36 (maritime shipping and navigation) from the Exclusive Legislative List and transfer it to the Concurrent Legislative List.
