Rick Perry (R), a Trump supporter, said a border wall should be “technological,” because a physical wall along the entire U.S.-Mexico border isn’t feasible. The GOP platform proposal doesn’t include the stipulation. Republican Party officials drafting the GOP platform have voted to include presumptive nominee Donald Trump’s plans to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, less than a week before the party’s convention. Many Republicans have criticized the idea of a border wall, even if they support a fence. Trump has been scorned for his proposal to deport 11 million people and build a border wall, which he claims Mexico will pay for.
