DHAKA, Feb 1, 2025 (BSS) - The Election Commission has imposed restrictions on the movement of taxi cabs, pickups, microbuses and trucks from 12:00 midnight on 11 February to 12:00 midnight on 12 February, the day when the 13th national parliamentary election and referendum will be held. At the same time, a ban has been imposed on the movement of motorcycles from 12:00 midnight on 10 February to midnight on 13 February, a handout said. In addition, the concerned District Magistrate and Metropolitan Police Commissioner have been empowered to impose or relax restrictions on vehicles other than the aforementioned vehicles on the occasion of the 13th national election and referendum, as per the specified schedule. This information was revealed today through a notification, signed by Al-Amin Md. Nurul Islam, Deputy Secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Department.
