Late-night video-game sessions have made their way off the couch and into Edinburgh’s nightlife scene with the opening of what’s thought to be the capital’s first retro arcade bar. NQ64, already a fixture in England and Wales, launches on August 12 with more than 30 vintage machines, classic consoles and a Guitar Hero soundproofed studio. SponsoredFor refreshments during the amusements, it offers cocktails inspired by classics such as the Princess Peach, a prosecco-based drink, and the Max Max, a rum, absinthe and fire mixture. A selection of beers from Edinburgh-based breweries is also available. Before its opening the bar has announced that it is looking for volunteers to try its selection of entertainment and drinks.
