Details have emerged on how a section of animal farmers have been treating their animals back in the farm with an aim of getting more profits in a short period of time. According to a recent research conducted in Uganda, it's revealed that scientists managed to retrieve a huge quantity of antiretroviral (ARV) drugs from both chicken meat and pork which were being sold in the market. The farmers further claimed that most animals which were fed with the ARVs tend to grow fatter than other ones. Meanwhile, ARV drugs are designed for human consumption and only under doctors' prescriptions. ARV drugs are commonly used by HIV patients in controlling the disease within the body.
