Just Getting Started has a reported budget of $22 million, and should at least double its money if Freeman's track record at this kind of thing holds. And it probably shouldn't, because nobody -- not the audience, and certainly not the cast -- deserves a clunker like this. (And let's face it, whatever the writing says, Freeman will always be more likable than Jones onscreen. Late in the game, Russo gets to deliver an extremely brief lecture about sexism to both Duke and Leo, but perhaps she should have aimed it at her director. I can only speculate that the location had as many open bars in real life as appear onscreen, and the crew indulged.
