On arrival at the pickup point, he found two men standing in the street, one of them cradling an elderly woman wrapped in a blanket. “Other drivers on the road have no idea you’re in an emergency,” the commenter wrote. A third offered some reassurance from personal experience, recounting a road accident in which an ambulance she had called arrived in under 10 minutes and reached the hospital quickly.
