PETALING JAYA: Mohd Ridzuan Puzi (pic) is not disheartened despite losing his status as the men’s 100m T36 (physical impairment) champion. Ridzuan started well from the fifth lane but was unable to maintain his acceleration in the later part of the race. The result means Ridzuan will return home empty-handed in his second appearance at the Paralympics. Yang Yifei, the Rio silver medallist, also missed out on the podium coming in fifth with 12.18. Ridzuan explained that his spikes were slippery which caused him to wobble at one point.
