The largest British-based online retailer of musical instruments and music equipment has struck the right note with customers. The number of active customers rose by 50 per cent to 340,000, driven by expansion overseas, with new distribution hubs opening in Sweden and Germany. International sales were up 124 per cent over the year. Andrew Wass, chief executive of the Aim-listed company, said that new, specialist products, such as carbon-fibre bows for violins and cellos, had contributed to the performance, as had “travel” guitars.
