Rihanna has always embraced her Barbados roots, and now she has a new title in her home country. The Barbados Government Information Service announced today that Rihanna (real name Robyn Fenty) has been named Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary. Her specific responsibility in this new post will be, 'promoting education, tourism and investment for the island,' which she has already been doing on social media. Rihanna was appointed one of Barbados' cultural ambassadors in 2008, to help promote tourism, but this title is much more expansive in scope.
