KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened marginally lower against the US dollar today as political uncertainties weighed on market sentiment, said an analyst. At 9 am, the local note stood at 4.2370/2400 versus the greenback compared to Monday's close of 4.2350/2390. "The ringgit looks particularly vulnerable as Malaysia's political crisis deepens and oil prices remain soft,” said OANDA Asia Pacific senior market analyst Jeffrey Halley. The ringgit was, however, slightly better against the euro at 4.9886/9922 compared to 4.9893/9940 yesterday and appreciated against the British pound to 5.8623/8665 from 5.8680/8736 previously. - BernamaArticle type: metered User Type: anonymous web User Status: Campaign ID: 46 Cxense type: free User access status: 3Join our Telegram channel to get our Evening Alerts and breaking news highlights
