NEW DELHI: Indian archers Deepika Kumari and Bombayla Devi exited the Rio Olympics within 20 minutes of each, losing in the individual women's pre-quarters on Thursday. Unlike yesterday, when she hit eight 10-pointers, in the pre-quarters Bombayla hit just two. She struggled against Valencia, however, losing the first, third and fourth sets 26-28, 27-28 and 25-3 respectively. Deepika was beaten 0-6 by Chinese Taipeir's Ya-Ting Tan and Bombayla Devi 2-6 by Mexico's Alejandra Valencia Deepika - who entered the Round of 16 by beating Georgia's Kristine Esebua 6-4 and Italian Guendalina Sartori 6-2 - was no match for the world No 2, who beat her 28-27, 29-26 and 30-27. The only set she won was the second, 26-23.
