Rival groups demonstrate over corruption allegations in Kilifi

The rivals heckled at each other with one camp pointing an accusing finger at Mr Kingi’s administration over the corruption scandal allegations. The demo comes a day after Mr Odinga defended and praised Mr Kingi (above) saying he unravelled the scam and has dealt with perpetrators. Meanwhile, Mr Kingi has said his government will move to court to press for the arrest and prosecution of directors of five companies said to have received millions stolen from his county’s bank account. Addressing residents in Mutsengo village in Kaloleni and at Mirereni in Malindi, in the company Mr Odinga, Mr Kingi said the county had to seek redress over the more than Sh51 million theft and have the money returned to Kilifi.
