River Terrace consent hearing adjourned

Tim JonesA hearings panel considering a further resource consent application from developers for land potentially affected by plan change 13 has been adjourned until the end of the week, pending further information. An application for resource consent was presented by River Terrace Developments Ltd at a Central Otago District Council hearings panel in Cromwell yesterday. River Terrace has applied for resource (land use) consent to establish a residential building platform on a site that has frontage to State Highway 6 and Sandflat Rd, near Cromwell. It would be on part of the land subject to plan change 13, for which River Terrace made an application for rezoning to allow an 840-house residential development. Commissioner Gary Rae deferred a decision until further conditions to the resource application — offered by a lawyer acting for River Terrace Developments, Warwick Goldsmith — were reviewed by submitters to the proposal and council planning consultant David Whitney.
