Logistics startup Rivigo on Thursday said it has ordered 1200 medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCVs) - the largest commercial order of trucks by any surface transport company - from Ashok Leyland Ltd for its pan India fleet.According to a statement, the purchase of the 1200 additional vehicles means Rivigo - the fastest growing surface transport company in India - will grow Rivigo's fleet size by 80% to 2700 vehicles in the next 6-7 months.The order comprises of the most successful Ashok Leyland product - the BOSS - a Intermediate Commercial Vehicle (ICV) that seamlessly combines the strength and ruggedness of a truck, with the comfort of a car to ensure vehicles do not stop on the highways.
