State Highway 56 near Ōpiki has closed due to flooding. Flooding has closed State Highway 56 at Ōpiki in Manawatū. The New Zealand Transport Agency advised a small section of the road just north of Ōpiki, between Tane and Alve Roads, either side of the Manawatū River. The agency advised northbound traffic to detour via Linton southbound traffic to detour via Foxton. Meanwhile, Horizons Regional Council has been monitoring the level of Manawatū River after Thursday's deluge.
